Seurapelikerho is the boardgaming club of the Role-players of Tampere University (TYR), and also a part of the Finnish Board Game Society. We meet regularly to play board and card games.
Information on the next meeting can be found from yellow box on the the index page. A small reference of finnish words:
We play mostly modern "German" or "designer" games. If you don't know what that means, there's some introduction at The Games Journal. Anyway, the games we play are easy to learn, yet great fun to play. There are more and less serious games, so everyone should find something for their tastes. There's no need to bring your own games, we have plenty, but if you do have something neat you want to share with us, bring it with you!
We usually meet at the Domus-klubi, which is a small hobby room at the TOAS Old Domus apartments (Väinämöisenkatu 11-13). See the map. Bus lines 17, 25 and 27 will take you there. If you want to know more, there's some information in Finnish at TYR website, or you can just ask Atro or Ilari Kajaste (firstname.lastname@iki.fi).
Everyone! No experience is necessary! Pretty much only requirement is that you speak and read either English or Finnish. As an extra bonus for foreigners, the games we play are mostly in English or German, so if you can't read Finnish, you're not disadvantaged.
The index page contains the date of the next meeting, as soon as the date is set (which is usually only week before). If you want to be notified, contact Mikko Saari (msaari@iki.fi) and ask to be added on a mailing list to get notices about matters related to this boardgaming club in English.
