MOONLIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY NIGHT EXHIBITION OPENING

The MoonLightPhotographyNight exhibiton will be opened on Wednesday 21st of November at 12 o’clock at the university main building’s portrait hall (2nd floor). The exhibition will be open from 21st of November to 10th of December. Fizzy drinks will be served! Welcome all!

Moonlight Photography Night 2012

Moonlight Photography Night (Kuunvalokuvausyö) 2012 is coming soon. It will be held on Friday the 26th of October and the place is YO-talo's second floor. The event starts at 18.00 but you and your team should be there around 17.30 so there's enough time for everyone to get organised.

Kuunvalokuvausyö is not a serious photography competition, instead it's for anyone and everyone who can hold a camera. It's a team competition and the technical quality of the photographs is not the most important thing. It's the idea that counts. The main thing, of course, is to have FUN! You should be aware of that the main language in Kuunvalokuvausyö is FINNISH but translations of the tasks will be available in English. The ideal situation would be that you have a Finnish-speaking member in your team but it's not necessary.

During the six hours of this competition, starting at 18.00, the teams are given six tasks that they take photographs of in a creative way. Your team should have a digital or film camera (one camera per team). The film/chemicals/papers or prints of digital pictures and food are provided by VastaValo.

The ones who use film camera: VastaValo takes care of film development but your team should develop the actual photos in Vastavalo's darkroom during the next week. If you don't have any experience in how to work in the darkroom you'll get assistan
