
The Tampere University School of Management offers teaching in Political Science and International Relations to the bachelor's, master's and doctoral level and engages in scientific research in these fields. Part of the degree studies may be taken abroad on exchange programmes or locally within Master's degree programmes offered in English, coordinated by the School and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on European Politics and European-Russian Relations. In the field of Politics at the University of Tampere, there are links of many kinds to the European scientific and academic community, among them the Erasmus programme (partners 2012–2013) and Nordplus Network with twelve Scandinavian partners, and also has bilateral agreements beyond Europe (most recently, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO)) . The unit is involved in the activities of the Tampere Graduate Centre for Social Sciences (TAMCESS) at the University of Tampere and administrates the National Graduate School of Political Studies (POLITU).
