The student will be given 5 ECTS for the completed internship.

Internship grant of the School

General instructions:

• The School offers a limited number of grants for internships. Financial support from the university to the employer is usually 1100 euros. The financial support is primarily given to those students with no previous work experience in their field of study and to those who have a compulsory practical training in their degree programme.

• The employer must be Finnish, but it can also be located abroad. Thus international organisations are not accepted. The employer can be at the public sector, private enterprise or organisation.

• The student must always discuss beforehand with his/her supervising professor about the internship. Contact person for MBC students is Professor Hannu Saarijärvi.

• Application period for the financial support is from mid-December to January. Study coordinator Marika Ranta will give more information on this. After receiving the financial support the student is responsible for finding a suitable internship place. For possible internship positions, you can, for instance check the web site of the Career Centre of the University of Tampere.
