The Higher Education Group (HEG) is a unit focusing on higher education research and teaching at the University of Tampere, School of Management. We provide research and consultancy services to the higher education sector and stakeholders.

The research in HEG is concentrated on the topics of higher education management and finance. The Finnish Doctoral Programme in Higher Education Administration, Management and Economics (HEAME) funded by the Finnish Academy is an important part of the research activities in HEG.

We  provide teaching in higher education management and leadership. Our teaching programmes include:

• Finnish non-degree programme: Study Programme in Administration and Management of Higher Education, Korkeakouluhallinnon ja johtamisen opintokokonaisuus (KOHA) 40 ECTS
• Master's Degree Programme in Higher Education Administration and Management, Korkeakouluhallinnon ja johtamisen maisteriohjelma (KOHAMA) 120 ECTS
• Master's Degree Programme in "Research and Innovation in Higher Education" (MARIHE) 120 ECTS

In addition, we offer tailored training services for special groups, such as the personnel of other higher education institutions.
