Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on European Politics and European-Russian Relations
The Master's Programme in Russian and European Studies offers a unique interdisciplinary learning environment for students interested questions of Russian and European politics, society, culture and language. The programme emphasises both conceptual and practical knowledge of Russian and European studies and the related methodologies, with an eye on professional work in the fields of Russian politics, society, culture and language.
The University of Tampere has been running international Master's programmes focused on Russian and European issues since 2007. Until 2013, there have been two programmes, Master's Programme in European and Russian Studies (majors Journalism and Mass Communication; and Russian Language and Culture), and Master's Programme in International Relations within the Finnish-Russian Cross-Border University (major International Relations). For the intake in 2013, the two programmes will be combined into a new Master's Programme in Russian and European Studies with three majors, International Relations, Sociology, and Russian Language and Culture.
