The information resources of Tampere University Library include printed and electronic books, journals, newspapers and databases. The Collection development policy (only in Finnish) is the framework for developing the collections of Tampere University Library.
The Library is open to everyone. The printed resources can mainly be borrowed. The electronic resources are free to use for all at the premises of the library. Furthermore, the staff and students of the University and the staff of the University Hospital can access the electronic resources remotely.
The collections of printed books and periodicals are located in Linna and Arvo. The collections are placed on several floors and in storage areas. The resources in the closed stacks can be ordered by contacting the service desk or with an order form.
In Linna library there are information resources mainly in information and media sciences, business and management, social sciences, history, education, language and linguistics and arts.
In Arvo library there are information resources mainly in health sciences. Arvo provides library services to the Tampere University Hospital and acquires all the required books and journals for the specialists' degrees.
