Reference collection
Main library
The Reference library is located on the third floor. The collection contains reference works in various fields, dictionaries, statistics, bibliographies, parliamentary documents, committee deliberations and Tampere University dissertations, also master's theses since 2007. The item's locations can be checked from the shelfnumber reference list.

Reference resources are loaned for overnight and for weekends, with some exceptions. Books, which can be borrowed, are marked "yölaina" in the library's database. Books can be taken out no earlier than two hours before closing time, and they have to be returned by 10 am the following day. The weekend loans are to be returned by 10 am on Monday. Theses and dissertations, archival materials and latest Suomen Laki (Finnish Law) volumes are not loaned out at all.
Humanika
The reference library is located on the 2nd floor. The main emphases of the collection is on dictionaries and various reference works. Reference resources are lent for overnight and/or for weekends.
Tertio
Printed reference works are located on the 1st floor. Printed reference works can be read at the library, there are not circulating copies, not even for overnight and/or weekend. Self-service printers/photocopiers are available. Electronic reference works ar searchable in Nelli-portal.
