The books that are required reading in curricula are included in the textbook collection. The loan period for textbooks is two weeks (14 days).
Guide to the principles of textbook acquisition (only in Finnish)
The Main Library acquires textbooks for the School of Information Sciences, the School of Management, the School of Education, the Class teacher education and Master´s degree program in vocational education, the School of Language, Translation and Literary Studies, the School of Communication, Media and Theatre, and the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Circulating textbooks are located on the first floor in the Main Library. In addition to circulating copies, one copy of each textbook title at least is available in the Textbook Reading Room. Reading room copies can be checked out over night or weekend.
The loan period for text books is 14 days.
Tertio acquires textbooks for School of Medicine, School of Health Sciences and Institute of Biomedical Technology. One circulating copy is acquired for every five students, 20 copies being the maximum however. In addition to circulating copies, one non-circulating copy is made available in the reading room.
Suggested reading titles as indicated in the curriculum are acquired in three to six copies.
The loan period for textbooks is 14 days. Reading room copies can be loaned for day reading and also for overnight and weekend reading.
