A selection of over 120 e-books includes fulltexts on various disciplines.

Over 60 medical flexibook atlases and textbooks.

 

Software required for reading downloaded e-books   Adobe Reader 7 or newer.  Adobe Reader X may cause problems for example when downloading the e-book to memory stick. Adobe Digital Editions. To be able to read Taylor & Francis e-books you have to first download FileOpen Plug-in Installer.

It is possible to download the e-book to:

Download free iPublishCentral Reader.

Make sure that you are in utapac.

In Nelli Quick menu go to E-books databases

Choose: Thieme Electronic Book Libary.

When you find the book you want click download and Open in "Reader"


The e-book goes to iPublish Central Reader bookshelf.

Loan period
1-7 days 1-7 days 1-3 days. You can place a hold on the e-book if it is already downloaded. 14 days. It is possible to return the book before the loan expire

If the title is DRM-protected,
there is a button: Download a copy.
One copy at a time can be downloaded for 3 days after which it will expire and allow others to access that title again.

If e-books are DRM-free, there is a
button: Open and Read
With this button there are no limits
to the downloads, they can be printed, copy/pasted, and
never expire.
The user has a local copy forever.

Always available after downloading.
Features of the software program
Features of Adobe Reader in use. For Example it is not possible to make notes or copy or print the text. ADE enables various functions, such as your own  bookshelves, book navigation, making notes and copying and printing. DRM protected titles (Download a Copy -button) can't be printed or copied

If titles are DRM-free and have only button: Open and Read then there are no limits to the downloads,they can be printed, copy/pasted, and never expire.

Other things to consider

In remote access click  LoginEnter your institutional username and password.

To read Dawsonera books you have to login with your Basic User Account

To download an e-book open the title online with button: Read Online, then click download button.

If you haven't created personal account to EbscoHost you have to do it in Sign in -create a new Account in Ebsco interface.See instructions

You can also make a reservation to e-book. When the book is available you will get notice in your e-mail.
