
The Tampere University Library is for its users and a part of an international research university. The Library supports the whole University community and its goals by providing information, content and publishing services for researchers, teachers and students. The Library develops its services as a member of the national and international library networks.
The Library operates in several branches:
- The Main Library in the Linna-building on the University’s main campus and also in the University's main building, where the newspaper collection and the (newspaper) reading room are located
- The Department of Humanities and Education in Humanika. Humanika is located in the TietoPinni-building on the University’s main campus.
- The Department of Health Sciences, Tertio, is located in the Arvo-building on the Kauppi campus.
In addition to the physical facilities, the Library serves its patrons also on internet pages, where current information about library matters and services is available. Patrons can access the online library database Tamcat. Electronic resources are accessible through the Nelli-portal.
