Do you think that it is laborious to save references and interesting articles? Does the making of the bibliography take time excessively? Is it difficult to adopt the style that has been required in the writing?
If you answered even one question affirmatively, you have not perhaps heard about RefWorks. Did you know that you have at your disposal free RefWorks? It goes home with you as cloud service and even to the train if desired. With the help of network based RefWorks you can make your personal database and create folders where you can save the references of papers, books or web pages. The transfer of references from the databases to RefWorks is usually taken care automatically by the export function and you have to make only a few clicks. You can find the transfer instructions, Health Sciences at the library web site.
RefWorks is not only a place for storage of references. The utility program Write-N-Cite manages on your behalf the writing and marking references to your paper and makes the bibliography automatically to the end of your paper according to the style you wanted. Write-N-Cite revives this spring and it will be even easier to use than before. The key improvements of the new version are: auto formatting while you write, seamless online/offline access to your references, Mac & Windows compatibility and auto managed footnote styles.
You can install Write-N-Cite on your computer once and it operates after that together with the Word. Write-N-Cite is found in the RefWorks Tools menu. The upcoming version of Write-N-Cite also operates in Mac and this Mac version is already available for downloading.
Write-N-Cite contains the same folders and references which you have in your RefWorks account. When writing your paper you don't have to open RefWorks. Marking of the references is taken care by Write-N-Cite. You only click Cite link for the reference you want to cite in your paper (or Insert citation in new WNC). Write-N-Cite program requires the same username and the password as RefWorks.
You can start working with RefWorks easily. You only have to take the first connection to RefWorks in the university computer and register yourself. After that RefWorks is always in your use.
