Publication schedule and number of copies

A doctoral dissertation must be online and/or printed and on display 10 – 14 days prior to its public defence. Before this, it needs to be printed. The time of the publishing process depends on the form of publication and the publisher. In all cases, however, several weeks must be allowed for the process.

Here are the practices of the respective faculties regarding doctoral dissertations. More detailed information can be obtained from the faculty office concerned, contact information from: http://www.uta.fi/english/contacts/all.html

In September 2005, a mechanism was added to dissertations published online, to show, how frequently pdf files were read.
