Responsibility
The University Board estimates the realisation of the University Strategy according to the principles of operations managing and steering. The Board receives an annual report on the status and development of the quality system.
The Rector


is in charge of executing the university's tasks in an economic, efficient and productive way according to the University Strategy and the priorities set by the Board; is in charge of the University's quality system and reports on it to the University Board; estimates the functionality and development of the quality system and approves the quality manual; appoints the quality management steering group and the persons responsible for the degree programmes.

The Vice-Rector for Research


is in charge of leading research activities and promoting the social impact of research according to the goals set in the University Strategy; chairs the Research Council.


Vice-Rector for Education

is in charge of leading education and the promotion of its social impact according to the goals set in the University Strategy; chairs the Teaching Council.
The Quality Steering Group
sets priorities for the development of quality management on the university level.
 
Dean/Director of a Unit

is in charge of the quality of operations in his/her own School/Unit and of quality enhancement according to the University Strategy.
 


Director of Administration


is in charge of the services University Services produces for the Schools/Unit and of developing the services according to the quality management practices.

Research Director
is in charge of the quality management in the research centre he/she directs.
Director of the University of Tampere Doctoral School
is in charge of organising the joint education offered to doctoral students.
Person responsible for a degree programme


is in charge of the quality management of his/her degree programme.

Employee is in charge of the development and quality of his/her own work.
Student is in charge of planning and carrying out his/her studies and of giving feedback on the studies.
Quality manager is in charge of the quality management methods, timetables, communications, and of organising training; prepares the work of the quality management steering group and chairs the meeting of quality coordinators.
Quality coordinator is in charge of coordinating the quality work in the School/Unit and of supporting the Dean/Director in quality management.
