The research project Hoping for Continuity, Facing Oblivion. Childhood, education and death in Antiquity and Middle Ages is funded by the Academy of Finland (2003-2006). Director of the project is assistant prof. Katariina Mustakallio and its researchers are working in the Departments of History in the Universities of Tampere and Jyväskylä.
