Erkko Chair in North American Studies
The Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation has donated a multidisciplinary Erkko Chair in North American Studies at the Department of History for five years beginning January 2007.
The Erkko Chair is held by PhD Katri Sieberg.
Since its foundation in 1984 the North American Studies program has been a popular multidisciplinary minor subject in which the United States and Canada are explored in various ways approaching these two from historical, literary, social, cultural, political and from many other perspectives.
