Information studies and hypermedia are together INFIM

The Department of Information Studies and Interactive Media (INFIM) at the University of Tampere was born at the beginning of 2009, when the Hypermedia Laboratory and the Department of Information Studies merged. By concentrating resources, the aim is to strengthen education and research in the information and new media fields at the University of Tampere. There are about 60 persons working at the new department.
