meaning of the living body in producing and receiving music. Music has the
ability to signify by referring to basic experiences of the embodied human
being, and much of the emotionally expressive power of music emerges
distinctly from the domain of the corporeal.

A set of substudies aims to elaborate this general hypothesis. Based on this
practical and theoretical knowledge of music, and by applying the
phenomenological method, the project focuses on developing new ways of
researching musical experience. Applying the phenomenological method, the
project focuses on developing new methods of researching musical experience.

The aim is to produce knowledge regarding embodied meanings of musical
behaviour in the various areas of music. The project also seeks to obtain
results that can be used in developing music pedagogy utilizing cognitive and
