Performance, listener and mediation of music

THE 12TH NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON MUSIC RESEARCH University of Tampere, Finland, 27-29 March, 2008

The purpose of the symposium is to discuss different aspects of mediation of music. Mediation is understood here broadly - music mediated through oral tradition, live performance, printing and electronic mediation. All other themes are also welcome.

We also encourage proposals for round table discussions, especially those focusing on interaction between music research and performing arts. Students are also welcome to make use of the lectures and round tables as a part of their studies.
