Getting to Helsinki

By air
Several international airlines have regular flights to Helsinki from major cities in Europe. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is located 19 kilometres, about 30 minutes drive from the centre of Helsinki. Public transport, buses and taxes, operate 24 hours a day. Taxi fair from the airport to the city centre costs about 30 €. There is a regular Finnair airport bus running every 20 minutes between the airport and the city centre, where the bus stops at the railway station. The bus fair is 4,90 € / one way and buses leave outside the International Flights Terminal.

By ferry

Conference venue

The University of Helsinki has the widest range of disciplines in Finland. It was established in Turku in 1640, but was transferred to Helsinki in 1828. The University is bilingual, but in addition to Finnish and Swedish teaching is also provided in English. 6% of the students are Swedish-speaking. University main building, where the conference will be held, is situated next to the Senate Square (address: Unioninkatu 34).
