National Graduate
School of Clinical Investigation (CLIGS) is aimed at training
professional clinical scientists. The students are affiliated with
research groups located at all five universities in Finland.
Finnish
Graduate School Network in Life Sciences (FinBioNet) is a national
network of graduate schools in biosciences and health sciences.
Its purpose is to promote research training cooperation and to coordinate
research courses. Its infrastructure is financed by the Academy
of Finland and it is coordinated by the University of Helsinki.
Tampere Graduate
School in Biomedicine and Biotechnology (TGSBB)
All TGSBB students are affiliated with research groups associated
with TGSBB. At present the school has 22 graduate studentships provided
by the Ministry of Education to support full-time thesis project
research for a period of up to 4 years.
International
Postgraduate Programme in Epidemiology (IPPE)
The programme consists of postgraduate courses with theoretical
training and practical exercises in Epidemiology, Biometrics and
related fields, a weekly research seminar and individual tutoring.
After the theoretical training and a PhD dissertation the student
will receive a doctoral degree in Epidemiology.
