Studies

The School of Medicine at the University of Tampere offers studies leading to the Licentiate's Degree, MD and Specialist degrees. As a discipline and profession, medicine requires a life-long commitment to learning, as well as logical thinking, motivation and an avid interest in human beings.

More than half of physicians in Finland specialise in a field of medicine and practice as consultants, and approximately 20 per cent earn a PhD in medical sciences. The research conducted at the University’s School of Medicine is internationally renowned.
