MD PhD Program for Medical Students

Studies

The MD PhD program offers knowledge, skills, and support for students interested in and doing research through organising lecture and small group courses as well as providing support and advisory structures. This enhances students abilities to do research, produce new knowledge, and make an academic career.

Part of the total volume of courses offered in the program consists of lecture courses and part is made up of small group courses. Some of the courses are organized by the program whereas others are offered in collaboration with different departments, institutes, and programs. Most courses organised by the training program are in English on weekdays between 15.15 and 17.00.

The lecture courses organised by the program are open to all interested students of the University of Tampere, including those not enrolled to the research training program.
