In the final stretch of one’s studies, it comes time to prepare a thesis to complete the degree. Its purpose is to both develop and demonstrate the student’s capabilities of applying the knowledge and skills gained through the studies. The goals for the theses are formed based on competence. The key areas are research skills, core competence in the field of the thesis, academic language and communication proficiency, and scientific discussion skills accumulated through peer learning and guidance as well as discourse with prior research.

In addition to general instructions, you should also study any instructions that your own degree programme has provided on theses.
