Research groups

CIS has 9 research groups and some researchers that do not belong to any of the CIS research groups. The groups are:

• Algebraic Geometry and Commutative Algebra (only in finnish)
• CIRCMI is the research group for Center for Research on Information, Customer and Innovation Management.
• DARG is the Data Analysis Research Group.
• eHealth research group focuses on health and medical informatics.
• Logic Group does research on finite model theory and different logics.
• MESSI is the research group for MEthodology for Software System and Information system development.
• NGIS is the research group for Next Generation data management and Information retrieval Systems.
• Number Theory Group obviously conducts research on Number Theory.
• Statistics Group obviously conducts on various issues on statistical modeling and analysis.
