Requirement management, elicitation and analysis

  • People: Zheying Zhang, Jyrki Nummenmaa, Timo Nummenmaa, Eleni Berki, Jianmei Guo (SJTU), Yinglin Wang(SJTU)
  • This research concentrates in themes such as requirement elicitation, and utilizing requirements in project-line system development, and also the use of requirements in the creation of system specification.

  • Using action-based specifcations in software system specification
    • People: Timo Nummenmaa, Eleni Berki, Tommi Mikkonen(TUT)
    • This research concentrates in the questions on how to integrate the use of action-based specifications in the software design process. In addition to modeling problems, this includes the methods to help the stakeholders understand better the dynamics of the specified systems, e.g. through use of simulations.
    • Case studies on Game Development

Agile Software Processes and Quality Metrics

    • People: Matias Muhonen, Eleni Berki, Timo Poranen, Jyrki Nummenmaa

    Cognition, Computation and Creativity

    • People: Eleni Berki, Panagiotis Kampylis, Linfeng Li, Timo Nummenmaa, Pertti Saariluoma

    Software Quality Management

    • People: Eleni Berki, Elli Georgiadou, Kerstin Siakas, Margaret Ross, Geoff Staples

Requirements Engineering in Free and Open Source Software Development

    • People: Zheying Zhang, Eleni Berki

Free and Open Source v Proprietary Software Development: Problem-based Learning and Total Quality Management.

    • People: Eleni Berki, Kemal Isitan, Juri Valtanen, Ioannis Stamelos

    Action-based specification tool development

    • Jyrki Nummenmaa, Timo Nummenmaa, Tommi Mikkonen (TUT)
    • This project concerns the development of the DisCo specification system, initially created at Tampere University of Technology (TUT).

    Formal methods for protocol development

    • People: Catalin Ionescu, Eleni Berki, Jyrki Nummenmaa
    • The research focuses on how Internet-specific protocols impact all aspects of a wireless carrier's network and at the same time how to deliver services and applications in a reliable and cost-effective manner while meeting users' needs and expectations.

    Management of software process risks

    • People: Timo Poranen, Tero Ahtee(TUT)

    Digital rights management

    • People: Wenhui Lu, Zheying Zhang, Jyrki Nummenmaa

Quality criteria for anti-phishing software design

    • People: Linfeng Li, Eleni Berki, Marko Helenius (TUT), Eduardo Gonzalez, U. Zaragoza
    • The aim of this research project is to develop quality criteria for anti-phishing software design. Security and usability are very important and interdependent quality properties. We are trying to provide software users and anti-phishing software vendors with a better understanding based on 1) collection, analysis and reclassification of phishing techniques; 2) formalized software design structures. Ongoing and future research involves construction of phishing-resistant software based information systems.
