TAUCHI leads HCI research in two ICT SHOK projects

TAUCHI is coordinating HCI research in two large research projects funded in the first phase of ICT SHOK (Tivit Oy). Professor Roope Raisamo leads User Interaction work package in a large research and development project called Devices and Interoperability EcosysteM (DIEM), collaborating with several leading industrial and academic partners from Finland. The project is lead by Nokia. Research Professor Markku Turunen coordinates constructive research on interaction techniques in the project.

Professor Kari-Jouko Räihä leads User Interface work package in a medium-size research project called Local User-Created Services (LUCRE) that is a part of Flexible Services strategic research agenda. In addition TAUCHI participates in User-Driven Open Innovation project in the same SRA. The project is lead by Elisa.

TAUCHI's share of budgets for these projects is in total about 375 000 euros for the first funding period ending by June 2009. The projects are planned to continue for 2-4 years with additional funding decisions made at intermediate checkpoints.
