On Tuesday 2 April a pilot for reorganizing the customer services will begin in the Main Library. The Information Services will move from the Learning Center on the 3rd floor to the customer services desk on the 1st floor. The purpose of this change is to provide the customer with more comprehensive service at the same desk.
The Information Services will be open Mon-Fri from 12 am to 7 pm and the circulation services as before from 10 am to 7 pm (Phone Service 040 190 9696 Mon-Fri 12 am - 4 pm). At the Library the customer can choose the service needed by using the queue number machine.
Archive loans, interlibrary loans for reading room use and other reading room loans can be picked up at the 1st floor service desk. Only the theses requested from the closed storage can still be found on the shelves of the copy room on the 3rd floor.
In the copy room there will be an internal telephone installed so the customers can contact the Library IT Support, the house managers or the Information Services.
On its call time the Information Services offer personal guidance on information retrieval. At other times you can use the Ask a Librarian online service. Students writing their thesis and university researchers can request the free, one-hour Book a Librarian service. Icons and links for both services can be found on the Library website.
We also wish to get customer feedback on the pilot. You can give your feedback to the Library staff or by the feedback form. You can also use the web form on the Library website.
