At the University of Tampere, the degree programmes and study modules are regulated by General Regulations Governing Degrees, and the studies taken at the University are evaluated according to Regulations for Evaluation of Studies.
N.B. Both the General Regulations Governing Degrees and the Regulations for Evaluation of Studies were amended in the beginning of the year 2011. The English equivalents of the new regulations will be published on this page as soon as possible. The new regulations are available in Finnish at http://www.uta.fi/opiskelu/lakitieto/index.html.
Finnish universities are independent corporations under public law, which grants universities autonomy of education and research.
