The Career Services are following the university graduates’ placement in the labour market through the employment and career surveys. The employment surveys for both Bachelors and Masters are conducted after one year of graduation in order to get information about their first workplace after graduation. The response rate of the employment surveys has been around 60-70 percent. The career survey for the graduates of the Master’s degree is conducted five years after graduation. The survey examines respondents’ labour market situation, quality of employment and career development. The career survey for the graduates of the doctoral degree is conducted two or three years after completing the degree. The aim of the employment and career surveys is to examine the graduate’s placement on the labour market. Through the surveys it is also possible to collect feedback from studies, for example, by asking how the previous studies have corresponded to work requirements. The Schools can obtain information about the employment of recent graduates which can be taken into account in educational planning and student counseling.
As a general rule, the graduates holding Bachelor's Degree are eligible to apply to Master's Degree programmes at national level or international level in the same and in related disciplines. The graduates of Master's Degree programmes are eligible to apply to Doctoral Studies (third cycle) in the same or in a related disciplines.
