All students receive a transcript of their academic records for the courses taken at the University of Tampere. The transcripts are available both in English and Finnish from the Registrar’s Office.

Please remember that the transcript is valid only when stamped and signed by the official of the University. The transcripts of international exchange/visiting students are automatically issued in English. Finnish credits (in Finnish opintopiste, OP) are ECTS compatible. Please see the grading scale dused at the University of Tampere.

Only passed course units are registered on your transcript. In other words, if you fail a course unit, it will not apper on the transcipt.

An unofficial, free transcript

Students can browse their academic record in NettiOpsu in page Academic Transcript. In NettiOpsu students can also send a transcript of academic records in pdf format to any e-mail address. Check if this version would do before you order an official transcript from the Registrar's Office.

Students can browse their academic record both in English and in Finnish. Transcript in English can be found in page Academic Transcript and transcript in Finnish can be found in NettiOpsu under the link Suomeksi > Opintosuoritukset.

An official, chargeable transcript

The official, printed transcript of your academic record can be obtained in the following ways:

• Collect the transcript from the Registrar's Office (Main building, room A 121). There is no need to order the transcript beforehand. Fee 5 euros.

• Order by e-mail (aktuaari (at) uta.fi). Please provide your name, your student number or social security number, and mailing address. Please also state what kind of record you require. The transcript will be sent to Finnish addresses only, cash on delivery (handling charge 5 euros).

• Order by phone (03-3551 7905). The transcript will be sent to addresses in Finland only, cash on delivery (handling charge 5 euros).

Official transcripts and their prices:

• Official transcript of records in Finnish or in English, fee 5 euros.
• ECTS transcript in English, fee 5 euros.
• Table of credits, fee 1 euro.
• The Diploma Supplement fee is 5 euros per supplement. However, when issued together with a degree certificate the Diploma Supplement is free of charge.

Notations for study modules and other entities

At the University of Tampere study modules, course units and other entities are classified as follows.

Credits marked with * on the transcript are accredited to the degree from other institutions in Finland or abroad.
