
Absence due to voluntary military services, or compulsory military service or maternity, paternity or parental leave will not be deducted from the time allowed for the completion of studies. A further total of 4 terms of other absence during which the student has enrolled as ‘absent' will likewise not be deducted from the time allowed for the completion of a degree according to 18 c § of the legislation referred to.
Other absences in excess of 4 terms will be deducted from the time allowed for completion of the degree.
A student will use these 4 terms of other absence if s/he:
enrolls as ‘absent' when it is NOT a matter of voluntary military service, compulsory military service, maternity, paternity or parental leave.
interrupts his/her studies for a fixed period of time (further information on interruptions in studies)
The table below shows in green 1 the absences included in the permitted 4 terms of other absence. Other absences exceeding 4 terms will be deducted from the time permitted to complete the degree. These appear in red 2
