Why international tutoring?

If you have already tutored new students and found the experience worth the effort, why not go the extra mile and tutor international students for a change!

  • international tutors will receive  a maximum number of 2 ECTS credits for their efforts and even more importantly, they will get new friends from all over the world!
  • international experiences may also be valuable with regards to your future employment
  • being an international tutor will also give you the chance to internationalise even without going abroad. You can include the credits received from tutoring to your internationalisation module.

Testimonials from Previous Tutors

"Being an international tutor was a great experience that I would recommend to everyone who is interested in meeting new people from other countries and getting new foreign friends."

"I am certain that tutoring will help me out in my future studies and in my working life since it is a great way to strengthen one’s intercultural and international communication and collaboration. It sheds light on different cultures and gives one courage to interact with other languages than their own."

"What I learned from tutoring was definitely time management skills! It was sometimes a challenge to fit my own schedules to the schedules of my tutees but it always worked out all right in the end."

How and when to sign-up?

International tutors are recruited by the student associations in February-March for the next academic year. For more information, please visit TAMY's website.
