Data Protection in Wentti

The lists of examination results in Wentti can only be accessed by those who have a University of Tampere Basic User Account.

Students can forbid the release of their results in the Intranet

According to the Personal Data Act , a student has the right to forbid the release of his/her own examination results in the Intranet. To do this, a student must give a written and signed notice to the Registrar's Office. A form which is available at the Registrar's office or in Wentti can be used. The notification can only be withdrawn in writing.

The notification or its withdrawal applies to all examination results and cannot be applied selectively to only some examinations.

The notification or its withdrawal will come into force on the day following the receipt of the written notice. The student's exam results published from that day on will either be withheld from or released in the Intranet, according to the written notice. Earlier results can neither be removed nor added retrospectively.

The student’s notification will be entered into the student register.

The student's notification that his/her examination results may not be released in the Intranet will be entered into the University of Tampere student register.
