Admission to Master studies

Regarding the Master's degree programmes in English, the intake of students is once a year. The next application deadline is now confirmed to be on 1 February, 2010. The application period for the 2010 intake will open on 1 December, 2009. The new students are selected around April, 2010, and they will start their studies in late August, 2010.

Finnish applicants should notice that the same Master's programmes are offered also in Finnish. Please see UTA page here for more information (in Finnish).

Applicants from polytechnic level institutions (for example Finnish AMK polytechnics or universities of applied science), if successful, are requested to take some complementing studies (a minimum of 15  and a maximum of 60 ECTS credits) after arriving at UTA.

We advise all applicants for the programmes given in English to take an international English language test as soon as possible. During the 2009 application round, those who started to reserve a test date in December-January had great difficulties in securing a test score before the application deadline closed. Please notice that the test score must arrive within the same deadline as the application form on paper, i.e. by 1 February, 2010.
