TYT In Brief
The Institute for Extension Studies TYT at the University of Tampere has been a leading institute of adult education in Finland since its founding year 1970. TYT maintains close contacts with the faculties of the university as well as with other organizations and institutes.
TYT comprises of three units:
Our 80 professional employees offer education and development services throughout Finland. Over 13 000 students and up to 800 teachers, academics and business experts enrol on our courses and programmes each year.
For three years running (2001-2003) the Ministry of Education named TYT as one of the top institutes for teaching development in Finnish universities.
