According to a recent survey carried out by Taloustutkimus Oy, a majority of Finns say the city of Tampere is the best place to live in Finland. The second best places according to Finns are Turku and Jyväskylä. A total of 36 locations were included in the survey.
Tampere has been rated as "The Best Place to Live in Finland" and as "The Most Popular Travel Destination in Finland" already in many surveys during the recent years. Location, recreational opportunities, and local services are seen to have a great effect on the city´s popularity.
