4.6. Flag Day of Finnish Defence Forces

On Friday 4th of June the Finnish flags will fly to celebrate the birthday of C.G.E. Mannerheim (the Marshal of Finland), who lived during the years 1867-1951. The Finnish Defence Forces organize also some festivities this day; for example a parade, which is held this year in the city of Kotka in Finland.

This year's parade will include troops from every branch of the military, for a total of about 1100 soldiers and 40 vehicles.
