15.-30.11. Tampere City Libraries Closed

Tampere City Libraries are closed during 15th-30th of November. Also the mobile libraries (library buses) don't run during this time. The PIKI net library cannot be used during the period of 21st-30th of November.

Some of the newspaper reading halls remain open also during this time, e.g. the newspaper reading hall in the city centre is open normally (address: Puutarhakatu 1). The reason for closing the libraries is the updating of the IT-system. 

Returning of the loans is possible through the book drop boxes located near the doors of the libraries, but the materials left there are at the customer's responsibility. There are longer loan periods for all items from 11th October on.

Libraries elsewhere in the Tampere Region: The city libraries in Akaa, Hämeenkyrö, Ikaalinen, Juupajoki, Kangasala, Kuhmalahti, Kylmäkoski, Orivesi, Pirkkala, Punkalaidun, Pälkäne, Urjala and Mänttä-Vilppula are closed during 22.-30.11. In Vesilahti the libraries are closed during 21.-30.11., in Lempäälä, Nokia and Sastamala during 22.11.-6.12., and in Valkeakoski 21.11.-6.12. 

The university libraries are open normally.
