Studying in the Tampere Region

Annually 40 000 university students study in the Tampere Region. Around 1500 of them are incoming exchange students and 1500 international degree students.

Tampere is the most popular city to live and study in Finland according to several national surveys.

International students can take courses from all institutions of higher education in Tampere (i.e. SITR studies). This cross-institutional studying is enabled by the SITR network, established in 2005.
