Research and Development
The Tampere Region is a major centre for research and development
in Finland. It is also known as a vibrant centre of highly active cooperation and networks between universities and companies. Research is carried out at the Universities in Tampere, as well as at the Technical Research Centre
of Finland (VTT) and the research departments of numerous private companies in the region.
