Occupational well-being from individual and interpersonal perspectives

Promoting well-being at work is a key factor in the effort to prolong work careers and improve work quality. The aims of this study are to investigate 1) the long-term development of occupational well-being, 2) the associations between working conditions and personality with occupational well-being, and 3) occupational well-being within teamwork. The research is based on already existing longitudinal datasets and new data, which were collected in a team-structured organization. The research brings new information on occupational well-being by analyzing it at a day-to-day level, across the work career and at an individual and a team level. The aim of the research is to yield information that can be utilized in developing occupational well-being practices. The project is funded by the Academy of Finland (2012–2017; Research position of Academy Research Fellow, University of Jyväskylä).
