
TAPRI plays an important role in the key international and European peace organizations IPRA and EuPRA. Through its research projects, it is also involved in many domain-specific organizations and networks.
In the framework of the Mediterranean Studies Project the most important partner is the Anna Lindh foundation. In addition, TAPRI is engaged in the following scientific and cultural networks related with the Euro-Mediterranean relations: FEMISE, EuroMeSCo, Euro-Arab Task Force of National Commissions, Société Internationale des Historiens de la Méditerranée (SIHMED), the Mediterranean Charter Group, and Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network. TAPRI also cooperates with the Finnish Middle East Institute in Damascus.
In the area of East European studies TAPRI takes part in a security and development research project based on the Wider Europe initiative together with the Karelian Institute (University of Eastern Finland) and the Aleksanteri institute (University of Helsinki). The project is funded by the Finnish Foreign Ministry.
An expert from TAPRI is in the OSCE Border Management Staff College Academy Advisory Board.
Related with crisis management and conflict research, TAPRI cooperates closely with the Finnish Crisis Management Centre. It also has important partnerships with the Civil Society Conflict Prevention Network (KATU) and the Finnish 1325 Network.
TAPRI researchers are also involved in the following networks related with the study of the Arctic region: the Network of Northern Politics and Cooperation, NRF, University of the Arctic Network, and APECS.
