Current research projects:
My PhD project focuses on active citizenship in the context of environmental issues and everyday life.
The data consists of autobiographies and diaries collected by Finnish Literature Society’s writing contest “Climate change and environment in my life”. The research aims to investigate narrated environmental selves as situated and constantly negotiated in relation to conflicting demands of active citizenship in various everyday situations and draws theoretically from feminist discussions on materiality and agency.
The Research is part of Finnish Academy research project “Institutional Knowledge of Nature and Gendered Agency”, (2010-2013) directed by Academy Research Fellow Marja Vehviläinen.
