The Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (Tekes) has granted funding for the two research projects of TaSTI in its innovation research funding scheme. Both projects will last two years from 2013 to 2014.
Project titled “Towards Inclusive Use of Intellectual Capital, Innovation communities integrating foreign human capital to the Finnish innovation activities [INCO]” will be coordinated by Mika Raunio of TaSTI.
Other participants from the University of Tampere are Mika Kautonen (TaSTI) and Nina Mustikkamäki, IIari Karppi and Jari Kolehmainen from the Management School of the university. A Finnish partner will be the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, represented by Dr. Mika Nieminen.
Foreign partners are Dr. Ju Liu, CIRCLE, Lund University, Sweden, and Professor Jorge Niosi, University of Quebec, Montreal, Canada.
Project titled “Open innovation on the borderline of university-enterprise cooperation (Open-UNIC)” will be coordinated by the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Dr. Janne Lehenkari. Other partners in the research consortium are University of Helsinki (Dr. Juha Tuunainen and Professor Petri Ylikoski) and Lappeenranta University of Technology (Dr. Irina Savitskaya and Antero Kutvonen).
In TaSTI, the project will be coordinated by Mika Kautonen and the researcher will be Reetta Muhonen.
Foreign partners are Professor David Charles, University of Strathclyde, Scotland, and Dr. Markus Perkmann, Imperial College Business School, London, UK. In Russia, partners are Professor Yuri Nurulin, Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University, Kirill Ladygin, Saint-Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise and Professor Alexander Settles, Moscow Higher School of Economics.
