Study abroad

Exchange programmes offer degree students, who are currently enrolled as present, the chance to spend a part of the degree at a partner University in another country. The University of Tampere participates in various exchange programmes, but it is also possible to find the exchange place independently. The international exchange programmes are open to all degree students of the University of Tampere. Doctoral students can participate in most of the programmes. There are also different programmes which offer international internship periods.

Exchange period should be considered already when devising your personal study plan (HOPS), and when the plans for the exchange and its studies are more specific, you should discuss their suitability to your degree with your major subject personnel or the School’s study advisors. The courses taken in other universities in Finland or abroad can be included into the degree taken in the University of Tampere.
