The application period for the Public Choice Program has started - apply now to join our program!
The Master's Degree program in Public Choice at the University of Tampere in Finland invites qualified candidates to apply. The program is in its third year, and has talented cohorts of students.
The Public Choice program is a two year program, with a year and a half of coursework. The program is designed to give students quantitative skills (game theory, experimental and empirical methods, spatial econometrics, and microeconomics) to address traditional public choice issues such as institutions, policy design, and the incentives of policy makers to enact policies.
The program is ideal for students interested in economics and political science.
Because we take a maximum of 10 students per year, classes are small and there is a lot of interaction between the students and faculty. Courses are taught by University of Tampere faculty and by a host of visiting professors from around the world. Following the program, students can pursue a PhD, or go on to policy positions.
