Master’s Degree Programme in Public Choice

Curriculum (2015-2017) can be found here.

Teaching Schedule for the academic year 2016-2017

The goal of the program is to prepare students to conduct research, pursue a PhD, or work in leading institutions in Europe and the United States. To achieve this goal, the program specifies the distribution of courses, the substance, and the faculty supervision.  Since we have an incoming class of no more than 10 students, courses are small and there is strong interaction between students and faculty.

Year One

Students take four program specific courses per semester in their first year plus additional general studies courses.  Of these, four are foundational methods course (positive theory and quantitative analysis) and four are substantive courses.

Year Two

In the second year, students continue to take some courses courses. The majority of the second year is devoted to the Master's thesis seminar, conducting research and writing.

The topic of the Master's thesis is chosen in consultation with faculty members.
