The seminar began with Dr. Debbie Watson's (The University of Bristol, UK) presentation on new innovative research methods in child- and youth research. This was followed by a panel on current needs for further research on the fields of childhood, youth and family and opportunities for co-operation between different societal agents. Among the panelists were both experts and officials from multiple professions and academic disciplines; both creators of cutting-edge academic knowledge and those who apply it in their work were thus represented. PERLA, the Youth Research Network and the discipline of youth work and youth research of the University of Tampere organize an open thesis seminar for master’s students on Wednesday 11th February 2014 from 10am to 4pm in Linna 5101. The seminar is for students of all disciplines planning to do a thesis on youth or young people. More information
