My ongoing research projects focus on the ethics and politics of knowledge production in research on minorities in multiethnic societies. My studies on African diasporas in Finland and in Europe, and projects related, for example, to literature for children are a continuation of my previous research on racism and anti-racism and on the representations of Africans and the people of African diasporas. In my ethnographic studies I favour action research approaches to examine the possibilities for anti-racist research agendas and other methodological and epistemological challenges included in research on the transnational lives and positions of new minorities in multiethnic societies.
